Flat Tire Co. plans a variety of destination riding trips and local group rides. Contact us for detailed information, we’d love to have you join us!
This is a free clinic focused on introducing the sport of cyclocross. We recommend you bring a cyclocross, gravel, or mountain bike. You want to remove your bottle cages. We will cover fundamentals of the sport. The clinic will last an hour. Please join us at Lynch Field at 5pm Saturday the 28th.
Join us for our first fall 2019 adventure night ride, it's gonna be a full moon. Helmet and mountain bike required. You are going to want to bring a light that mounts to your handle bars and one that mounts to your helmet. We will have some lights you can borrow. Hit us up if you need one.
This will be a mixed surface ride predominantly made up by single track, double track, and gravel. Ride will last around two hours. This is a no drop ride, all ages and fitness levels welcome.
Join Flat Tire Co. at the shop at 7pm on Friday August 30th. We welcome all ages of folks interested in mountain biking. The ride will last an hour or two depending on fitness levels and interest. We can split into groups if needed. Hope to see you there!
The Flat Tire Co. staff is excited to offer our first children’s program in July of 2019. This is a three day camp focused on helping increase kids confidence, skills, and love for riding mountain bikes.
DATES: Friday., July 26 to Sun., July 28
LENGTH: 3 days, 1 night.
COST: $350 per camper, with discounts on siblings.
SATURDAY NIGHT CAMPING: We can provide a tent if needed. Please send them with a sleeping bag, pillow, and pad.
Parents are welcome to join in on our weekend adventure, let us know if you are interested.
CAMP AGES: 7-13
MEETING TIME & LOCATION: 9am at Bike Shop Friday and Saturday morning. Kids will be shuttled by instructors or you are welcome to join us!

OH THE PLACES YOU’LL GO.
Today we will practice gearing up, braking, shifting, and body position. Upon arriving we will set up an obstacle course and play games focused on the fundamentals. After lunch we will take time to apply skills and focus on balance using bridges, skinnies, and bike games.
We will talk about uphill and downhill riding and how to ride safer and faster. We will see obstacles including: logs, roots, and rocks. Children interested will have the opportunity to see and do drops (1/2 ft - 2 ft high).
SATURDAY- BIG BEAR DAY
Drop the kids off by 9am or meet us to join for a day of riding at Big Bear!!! Once we arrive staff will set up camp while we have a short bike maintenance clinic and snack. Today we will practice applying skills in a single track setting. Following our ride children will be taken to the water park on premise. We will end the afternoon with a campers menu of hot dogs, grilled cheese, moon pies, and smores. If your child has any dietary restrictions please let us know.
SUNDAY - BIG BEAR DAY
Wake up Sunrise. Some cowboy coffee for the adults. Camp kitchen breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast. Today we will focus on a longer ride. Ride preparation and the fundamentals of riding single track. Before we depart campers can participate in mini-golf. We will eat lunch before departing, see at the shop for pick up.
Bring your old parts and bikes! Free parts swap in the parking lot along with some group rides. Should be a fun time for all!
Swap: 10am to 6pm
Dad Bod Ride: 8am - mountain bike
Group Road Ride: 8am - road or gravel bike
Kids Ride: Noon
Skills Challenge + Parking Lot Races: 6pm
Join us at Mountain Creek Bike Park at the end of June. These trails are some of the best you’ll find on the East Coast. All with a full 1,040 feet of vertical serviced by a high speed open air gondola. Expect rocky and rugged technical trails, rolling flow zones and more than 60 jumps and features. It's gonna be rowdy.

Let us show you the ropes. Five days of guided riding and exploring the awesomeness of The Pisgah. Trip includes daily breakfast and lunch. Shuttle services for rides. A “glamping” style sleeping arrangement. Twin beds for everyone.
Start your day off with morning yoga and join us for up to two rides daily. Need a rest day? Join our hiking or local scene guides as they lead daily adventures.
Windrock Park has East Tennessee’s best downhill mountain bike course and some amazing cross-country trails. The trails are all aggressive and rated difficult to extreme. This trip is geared towards intermediate to expert riders. Trails are steep, rocky and have technical descents with many trail features such as natural and man-made drops and jumps.
