To create the Nuroad we took inspiration from our race and cyclocross bikes, then threw a little mountain bike DNA into the mix. There's plenty of clearance for big, grippy, and comfortable 45mm tires – or 40mm if you run mudguards at the same time. There's an integrated seat clamp, exceptionally tidy rack, guard, and kickstand mounts, and neat internal cable routing to keep gear shifts grit- and mud-free for longer. Thru-axle wheels improve steering accuracy, even on the roughest roads. The Cargo Hybrid is a different beast, built with a maximum system weight of 220kg – which means it's capable of carrying bulky loads, or even two children with the optional seat, in safety and comfort. Handling is stable and confidence-inspiring even when fully loaded, so navigating city streets is a breeze. We positioned the powerful, cargo-specific Bosch drive unit unobtrusively at the base of the seat tube, and there's room for up to two batteries close to the bike's center of gravity.
